BAMUNLBay Area Model United Nations League
The California Bay Area’s first and only high school Model United Nations league
Led by high schoolers, for high schoolers

What does this cost?
There is absolutely no cost.
As we’re simply a coalition of local coordinated conferences, we promise that
- BAMUNL will always be free
- Every club has a voice — no matter how large or small
- We are committed to helping clubs of all levels, whether you’re recruiting your first teammates or refining the tenth iteration of your conference
what is the BAMUNL?
The BAMUNL is a student-run, student-led coalition of high school conferences and clubs that strives to empower students by making high-quality MUN accessible.
- Established clubs will be able to take on leadership roles in the Bay Area MUN system, facilitating the growth of lesser established clubs, conducting outreach, and designing league resources.
- Clubs that host conferences will be able to coordinate with other conferences to prevent overlapping dates and directly access a community of willing delegates. A league could also play a role in assisting with conference promotion and media.
- A league would allow for a standardized, updated database of conferences and clubs, assisting both with conference discovery and delegate recruitment.
- Mid-sized clubs will be able to receive direct support in starting their own conferences.
- Clubs in the foundational stages will—if willing—benefit from educational resources, live workshops, organizational templates, and direct mentorship from established clubs.
What does membership mean?
- League-led endorsement of high school conferences and an outsourcing of league personnel to help with conference promotion on league website, organization, and chairing, if requested;
- Facilitation of conference date coordination so as to minimize overlap and maximize attendance for each conference;
- Standardization of financial aid processes across high school conferences to enable underfunded clubs to attend;
- Club and conference development mentorship, in which more established clubs guide newer ones in starting a team, growing successfully, and perhaps hosting their own conference;
- Integration of educational resources by different clubs to present a united, comprehensive MUN curriculum for delegates and new conference organizers;
- League-run free educational programs or webinars for delegates to attend live;
- And other activities mutually beneficial to league members.
