Why this is necessary

Despite a collective passion for MUN, little to no coordination between the Bay Area MUN community exists. While coordinating conference outreach, we've personally found it difficult to come in contact with many other, non-established Bay Area teams—due to local teams going through constant cycles of revival and extinction, or smaller schools flying under the radar with no public front. This means that the reach of conferences and resources is much smaller than it could be.

We believe that a formalized collaboration pipeline between high school–led MUN conferences and clubs will benefit clubs at any level of development.

Who benefits

• Established clubs will be able to take on leadership roles in the Bay Area MUN system, helping facilitate the growth of lesser established clubs.
• Clubs that host conferences will be able to coordinate with other conferences to prevent overlapping dates and directly access a community of willing delegates. They will also receive league-endorsed promotion.
• Mid-sized clubs will be able to receive direct support in starting their own conferences.
• Clubs in the foundational stages will—if willing—benefit from educational resources, live workshops, organizational templates, and direct mentorship from established clubs.

As a structure that facilitates collaboration and mutual support, the proposed league would greatly enrich the quality of MUN across the Bay Area, empowering youth to become the changemakers of tomorrow. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

Proposal details

Our vision for the league is tentative, and we would love input from other delegations. So far, our team has conceptualized the following structure:
